Installation and Login

Step 1: Download

Download the game from one of our mirror sites here.

Step 2: Installation

Double click the newly downloaded install file and follow the steps on the screen.

Step 3: Launching the game

Double clicking the icon on your desktop or going to Start -> Programs -> Aeria Games -> Dragon Sky will start the game launcher.

Step 4: Starting the game

In the game launcher, pressing Game Start will begin the game.

Step 5: Logging in

Log into the game using your Aeria Games account information. Remember, user ID's and passwords are case sensitive!

Character Creation

To begin creating your own character, click the “Create Character” button.

Philosophy / Faction

Before designing your character and picking your main weapons, you will need to choose a philosophy. The philosophy will be your associated faction in the Dragon Sky war. Check out the Faction page for more information on philosophies.

Customization & Weapon Selection

On this screen you will be able to design your character and pick their main weapon. You can learn other martial arts styles and weapons as you progress through the game, but your original choice will affect your starting experience.

1. Weapon Selection: Here you can choose from, Fists, Bo-Staff, Chinese- Hammer, or Sword. Each weapon has their strengths and weaknesses, but all of them are effective at dispatching enemies.
2. Name: Enter your character name in this spot.
3. Sex: Choose whether you wish your character to be male or female.
4. Hair: This selects your characters hairstyle.
5. Color: Chooses hair color
6. Face: Chooses the face you want your character to have. Will you be a hideous rapscallion or a pretty noble?
7. Cloth: Chooses the starting clothing for your character.
8. Confirm: Choosing this will create your character and place you into the game world.
9. Cancel: This cancels all selections and takes you back to the login screen.
10. Rotate/Zoom: You can rotate your character or zoom in on their face to get a better look at the details.

Quests

NPCs that have an Exclamation Point above their head have a quest available for you. You just need to talk to that NPC to find out the details of the quest.

Upon Quest completion, you can locate the correct NPC to speak with to complete the quest by using your map. (Access the map by pressing M) The NPCs which need to talk to you will be highlighted.

Player Interaction

There are many social elements of DragonSky, ranging from competitive teamwork to just goofing off with friends. Some of the most common communication methods are found below.

Friends/Ignore List

Group play

When clicking on another player you will receive a list of options at the top of the screen.

1. Player Status: This shows the other players Title/Name/Health and Status.
2. Start Group: Clicking on this tab will invite the other player into your group.
3. Trade: this button will allow you to open a secure trade with the other player. Both parties must click trade and then accept before the trade will be made final. This gives you a chance to make sure the item you are receiving is the correct one.
4. Follow: Using this button will have you automatically follow the other player.
5. Duel Request: Clicking on this icon will send a duel request to the other player. After this has been done you can set the rules of the duel and then fight to see who is the better!
6. Sale: This icon will allow you to purchase from the other players merchant shop.
7. Friendship: This icon will open the friend menu allowing you to add the other player to your friends list, or send them a message.

Once a player is inside of your group, several options become available.

1. Loot Setting: Clicking on this button will allow you to change between a “Free for all loot” setting or a “Round robin Setting”.

Free for all

Any player in the group will be allowed to pick up any items that fall to the ground without sharing with their party member. Gold is still split between all members of the group.

Round robin

This setting will distribute loot equally amongst the party members, allowing everyone the chance to get items. Gold is also split equally amongst the party members.

2. Group: Add a player to the group.
3. Request Duel: This button will request a duel with another player.
4. Leave group: This button will remove you from the group.
5. Change Leader: Clicking this icon will make this party member the leader of the party. They will then be able to choose loot options and invite players to the group.
6. Group Kick: This will kick the individual player from the group. You can only do this if you are the group leader.

Help menu

The in-game Help menu is rather robust. Much of the Game Guide documentation is actually found within the game as well. If you need help, this is the first place to check.

Forums

The Aeria Games forums are an excellent source of information. Many times, someone else has had a similar question and the answers may be found on the forums.

Game Sages

Game Sages are the volunteers of Aeria Games. This team of leaders, contributors, and role models help the staff support the game in many ways. Game Sages are denoted by the [GS] tag in front of their name.

Game Masters

Game Masters are staff of Aeria Games. The team of Game Masters help support the game through events, promotions, testing, and various other tasks. If you want to get help from or report a problem to a Game Master, please use the Contact Us form.
